Happy List: #102

Hello, friends!

I know you are busy and I’m thankful you are here today.

This week I shared a recipe for biscotti that will change your life. Perhaps also your pants size, but I’m not responsible for that.

I also wrote about one of my favorite new towns called Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. It has a little something for everyone and it is worth a visit.

Now, let’s get on to The Happy List!

POTTERY BARN INSPIRED BASKETS

I love this clever idea from Angelica at Once Again, My Dear Irene to add handles to a regular basket. The idea was inspired by a Pottery Barn basket she knew she could replicate on the cheap.

The easy how-to is on her blog.

I regularly find good knock-off ideas, like this one, from a fun site called Knock Off Decor!

I’ve been featured on that site as well.

YOGA PANTS WITH A PHONE POCKET

I considered writing an ENTIRE POST about these high waisted yoga pants with pockets I got for Christmas. That’s how much I love them.

But I spared you the trauma because I thought the pictures might be a little awkward.

My iPhone is the size of a brick. It won’t fit in my armband for running/walking and I don’t want to buy a new armband. However, it fits in the side pockets of these pants!

Also, I swear the pants have cellulite camouflaging abilities. Again, I’m not going to show you pictures to verify, so you’ll have to take my word for it.

The third thing going in their favor is they have almost 5 stars and are only around 20 bucks on Amazon.

I’m 5’9″ and a size 8. I ordered the medium size in the ‘purplish blue’ color and they fit perfectly. I think I want the ‘wine red’ color next.

ARM KNITTED WREATH

I love the simplicity of this wreath by Happy Happy Nester.

I completely thought it was braided until I read her tutorial, but I was wrong! She uses one strand and it’s pretty clever.

MAP OF WHERE PEOPLE SAY UH OR UM

This blog always brings you hard-hitting, life-changing information. Never doubt that.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Here’s a map of where people are more likely to use ‘uh’ or ‘um.’

I think the map’s methodology takes a few logic leaps, but I love a fun map. Read the full story here.

WOOD SHOWER

I don’t know how this shower was made. Tile? But, I’m digging the masculine vibe.

5-Sided Square

Handy Husband LOVES the YouTube channel, Numberphile. As a result, we watch a lot of these videos about math and numbers in the Jones house. Try not to be jealous!

This video about how you can have a 5-sided square is very interesting. It is worth your time and you can impress your friends with your newfound knowledge!

In addition, I think we should all be so lucky to be as exuberant about our passions as the man in this video.

ON HELPING

I’ve been ruminating on this quote this week. I saw it on Facebook, but I don’t know who authored the quote.

Perhaps it is over-simplified, but it is definitely something to ponder.

SHELF ABOVE TILE

This idea from BrePurposed for a wall-to-wall shelf right above tile is a great idea to bring a neat transition between two spaces on a wall.

You’ll want to see more pictures from this bathroom. It’s full of ideas!

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“My New Year’s resolution? I will be less laz.”— Jim Gaffigan

Jim Gaffigan makes me laugh!

Happy Friday, everyone. I hope you have a terrific weekend.

P.S. Until we meet again, you can definitely find me on Instagram and Pinterest. Sometimes I make an appearance on Facebook too.
