Easy To Make Wheat Wreath

Let me show you an easy-to-make wheat wreath today.

What makes it easy?

We’re not reinventing the wheel wreath. We’re not doing anything complicated that requires a lot of thought. We’re simply giving ourselves 15 minutes of wreath therapy.

That’s a thing.

A thing I just made up.

But it works for me. I think it will work for you too.

Grab your glue guns and get ready to set your creative spirit free for the next 15 minutes. Whatever you create, you create.

Here’s what you need to make a wheat wreath:

gold floral hoop (I used a 10-inch hoop)
dried wheat
hot glue gun and glue sticks
ribbon
scissors

Directions:

Step 1: Cut the stems off your wheat stalks leaving just the head. I was going for quick, easy, and minimalistic, so I used 10 wheat stalks. You’ll probably use a different amount.

Step 2: Hot glue the wheat heads to your floral hoop in whichever way you choose. You can glue your wheat on just the bottom of the wreath, the side, or all the way around. There’s no right or wrong here. Do what makes you happy.

I tried to use wheat that was approximately the same size so that my wreath looked balanced when I was done.

Step 3: Add a ribbon, if desired, to either hang the wreath from or to cover any stems. My ribbon is covering the “center joint” where the wreath heads meet.

Step 4: Hang your wreath and enjoy the results of this wreath therapy. You did well!

I really do consider this sort of crafting therapy.

It is so satisfying to create something with your hands, especially something that looks good and doesn’t take a lot of time and energy to create.

I also love the creative expression and sense of accomplishment. It’s a mood booster, for sure.

Is it cheaper than actual talk therapy? Uh…probably?

I’ll keep this wheat wreath up through the end of November because it works well with my fall decor and all of the fall holidays.

Do you believe in crafting therapy too? What do you think about wheat wreaths? I’d love to know.

Happy crafting.

P.S. I’m not qualified to give actual therapeutic advice. That was obvious, right?
