Getting Cozy With Candle Warmer Lamps
Candle warmer lamps are the emotional support item getting me through the bumpy transition from summer to fall.
Yes, lamps plural.
I have two.
Not only did I jump on the candle warmer lamps trend, but I also decided Big Candle could have all my money.
Candle warmer lamps do exactly what they say. They warm up the wax in a candle vessel, allowing the smell to waft through your home without you having to light the wick. It’s brilliant.
Now, friends. I am old enough to know that melting scented wax is not a new concept. In the late aughts, I had some Scentsy wax melts and a cute plug-in warmer. For all I know, I might still have one stashed in the back of a drawer where all trends go to die. That company still exists, by the way.
I have also diffused essential oils to make my home smell like a grove of orange peppermint patties on a brisk autumn day.
And when I’m feeling really unhinged, I try good old-fashioned cleaning to make it smell nice in here too. Funny how well that works. Have you tried it?
Candle warmer lamps are satisfying on multiple levels.
First, there’s the smell of the candle. I have an apple cider candle that’s transporting me straight to an apple orchard without the drama and sticky fingers involved in being a chaperone on a kindergarten field trip. It’s absolute bliss. Second, there is the glow of the lamp itself. We all know lamp lighting is much more pleasant on the eyes than the big ceiling light. We don’t question a good thing. It’s just the way it works. Third, it has to be a bit safer to use since there is no open flame, so your anxiety can rest easy.
If you join me on the light side, get a candle warmer lamp with a timer. Most of them already come with a dimmer switch so you can control how much of the wax melts, but they don’t all have a timer. I think it’s a bit of extra peace of mind.
Handy Husband thinks candles are a fire hazard, and I don’t disagree. When I told him the candle warmer lamp has a timer, I think he wept a little. Finally, someone understood the plight of husbands everywhere who are just worried about a candle left burning. Yes. I’m sure that’s it.
Life is chaotic. The world is topsy-turvy.
You know what isn’t? My candle warmer lamps.
It’s all cozy vibes and peaceful feelings when those lamps are switched on.
Have you been using a candle warmer lamp? Do you use your big overhead ceiling light? Let me know. Comments really do make my day. You can comment on this blog post, email me here, or reach out via direct message on Instagram or Facebook.
Keep those happy, peaceful vibes going and have a great day!
P.S. I predict this is going to be the go-to gift this Christmas season. Here are the lamps I have:
Candle Warmer Lamp With Glass Shade (Mine was from TJ Maxx, but this one is almost identical)
Black and Brass Candle Warmer Lamp (It comes in different colors and with 2 bulbs.)
Apple Cider Candle in Gold Dish (I came for the scent, but the pretty container sold me.)
Thanks for being a bright spot in my day. If I can return the favor with another blog post, I certainly will. One of these might have you glowing:
