In Praise of Funny Reusable Shopping Bags

Is there a plastic bag ban where you live?

New Jersey’s plastic bag ban kicked in a few weeks ago and it’s broader than most because it includes paper bags and foam polystyrene. There are some exceptions for some stores, but the rules are still fuzzy to me.

All in all, I’m in support of this change. It makes me feel like we’re all working together in this small way to help the planet.

I was already in the habit of bringing my own reusable shopping bags to the grocery store. I do have to remember now to bring a bag when I’m going to a place like Target or Home Depot. I really did like using those Target bags to line my bathroom garbage cans.

All this to say, the topic of reusable shopping bags has been on my mind lately. That means the internet has found out and has been serving me up all sorts of ads for reusable shopping bags.

Did you know there are funny reusable shopping bags? We could all use a little more laughter in our lives, especially while running errands. Here are some bags that made me chuckle.

This funny reusable shopping bag made me laugh and is also one of the reasons why I do not have a Costco membership.

If you have chickens, this funny reusable shopping bag is a must. Or gift it to someone who raises chickens. They’ll get a kick out of it.

I told my kids about this shopping bag when I was serving them chicken tenders for dinner one night and they didn’t think it was funny. Hahahahaha!

This one was silly and made me laugh. That is all.

This last one is not a funny reusable shopping bag. It is just practical.

I don’t have these exact ones, but I do have some similar foldable box totes. You can’t fit more than two or three in a shopping cart, but I love that they don’t tip over in the back of your car.
