Happy List: #269
Hello! Welcome to today’s Happy List. I’m glad you are here.
In case you didn’t know this, I publish blog posts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. How in the world I keep up that schedule is a mystery to me because I’m pretty much convinced every week that I have nothing else to say. If there’s something you’re curious about, you’ll have to let me know.
This week on the blog I shared how we turned a piano into a kitchen bar. Spoiler: it doesn’t look like a piano.
I also shared 5 tricks for decorating your home for fall. The over-arching theme of that post was just to never decorate for any other season. Ha! I’m only half kidding.

The idea to use an old-fashioned soap holder as a holder for a kitchen sponge is very smart!

I found a new-to-me website called Celebrate Creativity that has the most beautiful styling and also some cool DIY ideas.
I loved what Lisa created with these mini terracotta candles. Get the DIY and so much inspiration here.

Have you heard the term raktivist? It means a Random Acts of Kindness activist. We could use more of those in the world.

PINECONE WREATH
I know some of you are very crafty and like to make things for your home. The idea Leslie from My One Hundred Year Old Home had to use pinecones to make flowers for a wreath is one you could take and make your own for almost any season.

FLANNEL REPURPOSED
Loved Jennifer Rizzo’s idea to repurpose an old flannel shirt into a fall leaf banner. You could also take this idea and turn the flannel leaves into gift toppers or wreath embellishments.

PRINTER INK
I loathe buying printer ink. It is always so expensive. However, 2 years ago I bought an off-brand type of printer ink (one that doesn’t match my brand of printer) and had really good luck with it.
I just paid $23 for all of this ink made by Arthur Imaging.

P.S. We have a Canon printer. The very first time I used it, the printer didn’t want to recognize the off-brand ink. I just reinserted the cartridge a few times and have never had a problem since. I can’t say how this will work for your printer, but I’m hoping you have as good of luck as I did.
