Happy List: #288
Hi! Welcome to the Happy List! I shared a personal story about our wedding anniversary this week on the blog. We celebrated this milestone by chauffeuring our children to all the places they needed to go and then ordering Chinese food for dinner. Romantic, right? Ha! I also wrote about how to make a weighted cord holder using fabric, rice, and your wits to sew it all together. As always, I like connecting with you! Truly. Please feel free to leave a comment or share this site with your friends. You can also connect with us on Instagram or Facebook. Thank you in advance. Here’s the Happy List! CASTLE FOR SALE This is…
Happy List: #287
Why, hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m glad you’re here. This week I shared a story about a ladder. It wasn’t a story about climbing a ladder because I’m risk-averse when it comes to ladders and falling, but about beautifying a ladder. Someone’s got to do it. I also wrote about something that everyone’s clamoring to have these days, a wood sewing machine cover. I’m kidding. No one wants one, but if they read that blog post they just might see how cool they are! As always, I like connecting with you! Truly. Please feel free to leave a comment or share this site with your friends. You…

Hey, hey! Welcome to the Happy List! I hope you had a great week and are ready to read something fun and light-hearted. Let’s start by reminding you what was on the blog this week. On Monday, I shared 3 ideas on how to label your DIY furniture. If we don’t start labeling and documenting things, history will be lost. On Wednesday, I shared the first bracelet I’ve ever made – a wood heart bracelet. It’s important to me to make things I actually will use or wear and this craft fits that bill! As always, I like connecting with you! It makes this feel more like a conversation and…

Hello, friends! Welcome to today’s Happy List. I hope you’ve had a great week. This week on the blog I shared a new-to-me term, blates, and why we love these pasta bowls. I also shared a fun Valentine’s DIY – how to make yourself an embroidered heart sweatshirt. I’ve been wearing my newly embroidered heart sweatshirt nonstop! As always, I like connecting with you! It makes this feel more like a conversation and less like a monologue. Please feel free to leave a comment or share this site with your friends. You can also connect with us on Instagram or Facebook. Thank you! Here’s the Happy List! BATHROOM LOVE Can you fall in…
Happy List: #284
Hi! Welcome to the first Happy List of 2023! I’m so glad you are here. This week on the blog I shared how I transitioned my holiday wreath to a winter wreath. I enjoyed figuring out a new way to use and display decor that I already own, especially the bird I put on the wreath. I also published a blog post about our new bench for the sunporch. Handy Husband built it last month and I love how it functions out there. As always, I like connecting with you! It makes this feel more like a conversation and less like a monologue. Please feel free to leave a comment…
Happy List: #283 Merry Christmas
Hi! Welcome to today’s Happy List! If you’re reading this then I presume you’re all set for Christmas or you’re procrastinating. Either way, I’m glad you’re here. This week on the blog I shared one last tutorial for the year – a wood bead snowflake ornament. I added some of my wood bead snowflake ornaments to a garland on our bedroom fireplace. The garland gives off more winter vibes than Christmas vibes so I might keep it up for a while! I also wrote a blog post giving us a grade of sorts for how well we did with tackling our house projects this year. Was this a little bit like…
Happy List: #282
Hi! Welcome to this week’s Happy List! I’m delighted you could join the party. Is everyone ready for the holidays? I pretty much am. If I’ve forgotten something, I’m sure I’ll wake up from a good sleep and panic about it later. It was a big reveal week on the blog! On Monday I shared pictures of our dining room fireplace all decorated for Christmas. I love how it turned out. On Wednesday I shared the photos of our Christmas tree all done up in pink! If you missed those posts, please go ahead and check them out. If you like what you read here and want to give us…
Happy List: #281
Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m delighted you are here. This week on the blog I shared 10 gift ideas under $25 for all the random people in your life. I also shared the process of how to create Mini Silhouette Christmas Ornaments. These ornaments ended up looking way fancier (aka professional) than I initially imagined they would. I’m loving them on my tree. If you like what you read here and want to give us a present for the holidays, we would not turn down a comment, a like, or a share on either the blog or our social media accounts on Instagram or Facebook. Helping new people find us…
Happy List: #280
Hello, December, and hello to you too! Welcome to today’s Happy List. This week on the blog I shared how to make a Piano Hammer Christmas Tree. I realize I make some things that aren’t easily replicable. That’s not really my goal though. My goal is to inspire your creativity and encourage you to look at your home and decor in a new light. I also shared my inexpensive ideas for decorating a Christmas tree. I like to switch things up with our main tree decor from year to year. We all have our idea of fun and I guess that’s mine. Ha! However, I don’t have a big budget…
Happy List: #279
Hi! Welcome to this week’s Happy List! I hope you are doing well and looking forward to the weekend. Our local high school is hosting a craft fair this weekend and I’m excited to see what folks have been creating. Last year I found some fun ornaments for the kids there. This week on the blog I shared some funny, not funny stories from our recent DIY projects. Things happen and you just have to laugh…or eventually laugh. I also wrote about how our autumn is going because I was feeling reflective. Reflection is a good thing, isn’t it? As always, thank you for continuing to show up here week…
