Did you know that Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11 because it marks the end of World War I? The official end to that war was 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918. So, the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month and it became known as Armistice Day. Hi! After taking last week off, I’m thrilled to be sharing another Happy List with you. This week on the blog I tiptoed through a grammar minefield and wrote about our Halloween front porch and the witches’ hats hanging there. I also discussed the very important topic of how to decorate with wheat. Decorating with it is only second best to eating wheat-based products. Thank you for your continuing to show up here week after week supporting this little spot on the internet. All of your engagement here and on Instagram or Facebook is important to us. Happy List: #274
Hello! Welcome to the first Happy List of October! Is it just me or did September go by quite quickly? This week on the blog I shared how to make a recessed toilet paper holder. This idea is pretty adaptable if you have a small space and just want a recessed area for extra storage. I also shared another wood acorn craft – a garland! I’m a garland person now, apparently. That’s what those wood acorns have done to me. Am I done making things out of wood acorns? I’m not sure. I told myself I wouldn’t buy any more acorns, but that doesn’t mean I won’t take apart the…

Yes, wood acorns are a thing and I’m obsessed with them. I’m hoping I work this out of my system soon, but I still have about six ideas of things I can make with the wood acorns. Thank you for sticking…

Hi! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m happy you’re here. This week on the blog I shared how we made our front door look bigger with paint and only paint. Our eye is easily tricked! I also shared how I Annisa-ified (That doesn’t really roll off the tongue, does it?) a set of slate coasters I earned with my own sweat and labored breathing after participating in a fun run. Not that I’m melodramatic or anything. Thank you for your continued support of this blog in all shapes and forms. Even engaging with us on Instagram or Facebook is important to us. How in the world I keep up that schedule is a mystery to me because I’m pretty much convinced every week that I have nothing else to say. If there’s something you’re curious about, you’ll have to let me know. This week on the blog I shared how we turned a piano into a kitchen bar. Spoiler: it doesn’t look like a piano. I also shared 5 tricks for decorating your home for fall. The over-arching theme of that post was just to never…
