    Happy List: #357

Hi! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m glad you’re here. This week on the blog, I shared the drone pictures we received of our home. That was the best. I have an aerial photo of this house from the mid-1990s too. I’d do a side-by-side comparison, but it’s hard to see the house in the older aerial photo due to all of the tree coverage. I also answered the question no one asked. Why is there so much wood in an old stone wall? As it turns out, there are so many reasons and I have photographic evidence. You can read about that here. The picture at the top…

    Happy List: #356

Hello, hello! Thank you for joining me for this week’s Happy List. It is so good to have you here. This week on the blog I wrote in detail about one little piece of trim on our windows – the drip edge. Who would have thought I had so much to say about one little board? I also shared the messy middle of our stone carriage house gym conversion. (That’s a mouthful.) It’s literally the most messy project but progress has been made. As always, thank you for being here today. It makes my day to share things with you that interested me, made me smile, or made me think…

    Happy List: #355

Hi! I’m thrilled you are here for today’s Happy List. Whenever I take a week off the blog, I miss sharing the weekly Happy List. To recap, it was a fun week on the blog, for me at least! Ha! I shared how to make a Wood Leaf Wreath for the upcoming fall season. I love these wood leaves SO MUCH. I may buy more to make a garland. Have you noticed that I enjoy crafting with wood, particularly for fall crafts? It’s the best. I also shared the plan for converting our Carriage House into a home gym. The plan involved a hammer and some crying. Ice cream was…

    Happy List: #354

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m so glad you’re sharing this little spot of the internet with me today. Can you believe it’s already August? This week on the blog I wrote all about flower monogram embroidery and all the different ways I love it and want to incorporate it into my life. Wreath sashes, clothing, wall hangings…so many possibilities, so little time. I also shared a blast from the archives, a post about our hot press when we lived in Ireland. Don’t know what a hot press is? Think it might be a good way to make a panini? Go read the post to find out. As…

    Happy List: #353

Hey, hey! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. It’s good to see you here. This week on the blog was a random one. I shared how to fix headphones with misshapen earpads. What I didn’t mention is that when earpads start to wear out, they will leave little black flakes on your skin. I’ll be looking at Handy Husband freaking out that he has skin cancer and then realize, nope, it was his headphones deteriorating. *sigh* I also shared how I plant the hydroponic lettuce that I buy from the grocery store. This week it was on sale for $2.50 a head. It makes me feel very victorious when I…

    Happy List: #352

Hi! Welcome to today’s Happy List. I’m delighted you are here. This week on the blog I shared the thing I never noticed about white farmhouses before.  It made me question my powers of observation. I also shared the way we display Handy Husband’s running medals and race bibs. Running probably saved his life from a physical and mental perspective, so I’m definitely supportive of his desire to run races. As always, thank you for being here today. It makes my day to share things with you that interested me, made me smile, or made me think this week. I hope it makes your day too. If you want to…

    Happy List: #351

Hey, hey! Welcome to today’s Happy List. I’m over-the-moon to have you here. This week on the blog I shared the four old house construction techniques that were used to build our home. We discovered them during our recent project to put new siding on the house. I also wrote about how our home insurance was affected by the changes we made to our siding. There are some mysteries in life we are not meant to understand. This is one of them. Once again, thank you for being here today. It makes my day to share things with you that interested me, made me smile, or made me think this…

    Happy List: #350

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m happier than a chef in a well-stocked kitchen that you are here! This week on the blog I shared the 4th of July wreath I made with Handy Husband’s jeans. His old jeans, in case he asks. I also shared the picture frame I made out of an old post office box door. It turned out so well. This is the 350th Happy List that I’ve written. I can hardly believe it! Thank you for being here if this is your first Happy List or your 350th. It makes my day to share things with you that interested me, made me smile,…

    Happy List: #349

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. It makes my day to have you here. This week on the blog I shared the things we love and don’t love about our new front door smart lock. I resisted getting a smart lock for about three years but I’m happy we switched. I also went down a rabbit hole looking for stained glass art that functions in a unique way or is display in an unusual way. I found some good stuff. Check it out here. Once again, thank you for being here. I know your time is valuable and I love connecting with you. I’ve made the best online friends…

    Happy List: #348

Hello, hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I am so excited you are here. It was a dramatic week on the blog. I shared where I installed a time capsule in our basement AND what I included inside of it. Was there treasure? You’ll have to go read the blog post to find out. My lips are sealed. We also celebrated our 5 year house anniversary. House-iversary? However you say it, it’s been a wild ride. I included some never before published photos in that blog post! As always, thank you for being here. Thank you for cheering us on every step of the way. I know your time…
